Recording Reach
Out was a return to The Four Tops songs and Holland-Dozier-Holland
material for Peter. He had first recorded a song of theirs
for his 1st Album
and the Virgil Brothers repertoire included Four Tops' numbers.
Although Peter left the New Seekers before the release of the
Peter, Paul and Marty album, his vocals can clearly
be heard soaring on this track.

One of Marty's compositions,
belted out by Peter and nobody sleeps when Peter sings like
this! A great, rousing number.

Rusty Hands of
Time was
released as Peter's first solo record after leaving the New
Seekers but it was recorded whilst he was still with the group
and they provided backing vocals. It was however, later
released on a New Seekers compilation album.
Prolific songwriter
Tony Macaulay provided the New Seekers with a number of songs,
most of which were released after Peter left the group.
