SEEKERS
This track is credited
purely to Brian Peacock on the Contour release but Peter Doyle's
name appears on the label of the Come Softly to Me
Album. New Zealander Brian Peacock travelled to Australia
with his band the Librettos in the 60s where
they would work the same gigs as Peter and sometimes provided
the backing to his solo act. Peacock also provided the
New Seekers with a few other songs.

SEEKERS
This is a beautiful
duet by Eve Graham and Peter Doyle and probably
the fans most quoted choice as the album track which should
have been released as a single. Cilla Black and Emmylou
Harris are amongst other artists who have recorded this song.

SEEKERS
Many songs have been
written around the names of American towns and cities. This
is Peter Doyle's contribution. More a song of
homesickness than celebration this was one of the New Seekers'
earliest releases to have been composed by Peter who also sings
the lead on the song.

Harry Chapin originally wrote Circle for his brother
Tom's children's show, Make a Wish. The story
goes that he wrote it at 2am in a Brooklyn diner. Harry
wasn't keen on the New Seekers' version which was renamed Circles.
The record buying public had a different view and Circles
became one of the group's biggest hits. The lead is shared
by Eve Graham and Peter Doyle and at least 3 different recordings
are used on various album and CD releases.
