NEW
SEEKERS
Although deep and
meaningful lyrics were not generally associated with the New
Seekers image, many of the groups' own compositions showed a
different side. Peter's Unwithered Rose, underlined
this very well and was repeatedly used as a B side on the groups'
singles.

Another Osmonds song,
this time with Peter singing lead vocals.

PETER
DOYLE
An incredible contrast
to it's A side, Wake Up With Me was very much
a track of the punk era - Peter may have started his recording
career in the 1950's but this song proved he was still very
much in tune with the contemporary sound of the 1980's.

DOYLE
Watcha Gonna
Do About It? was a hit for Doris Troy, who penned this
and other hits under her real name Doris Payne along with Greg
Carroll. A number of their songs, including this, were
covered by the Hollies. It was also recorded by Cilla Black
in 1965 and was the debut single for Rev Black and the Rockin'
Vicars in 1967. Not to be confused with the song, with
a variation of spelling: Whatcha Gonna Do About it?
which was released by the Small Faces in 1965 and was the B
side to Kicks, the last single released by the New
Zealand group the Librettos before they disbanded in August
1966.
